• eBay will usually put a hold on a new seller's account until the seller has sold a good amount of items with positive selling feedback. This just shows eBay that you are a trusted seller.

Payment holds on eBay occur mostly because:

• You are a seller on eBay for less than 90 day

• Your feedback score on eBay is lower than 10

• Your rate of customer dispute is high

• You are selling in a high-risk category like tickets, travel, gift cards, computer, electronics, phones, etc.
