How to Safely Buy on eBay

When buying on eBay, most of the times you will just be buying from individual sellers. Most sellers are trustful, but there will always be some out there trying to scam you, and this is how to avoid getting scammed on eBay as a buyer.

  • If you ever see ridiculously good prices on eBay and think you just got a steal but most likely its a scam. If you feel like its too good to be true, it probably is. If you see someone try to sell a pair of Yeezys for 30 bucks, it is definitely a scam. Sometimes you might find really good steals on eBay, but before just purchasing always check the seller's profile, and see the seller's ratings to find out whether the offer is legit or just a scam. If you click on the number next to the seller's username, it will take you to their feedback page.

  • If the seller asks you for your number and tries to deal outside of eBay, it is also likely a scam. If you do deals outside of eBay, you will not be covered under the eBay sellers and buyer's protection. If you end up getting scammed, eBay will not be able to help recover your money. NEVER DEAL OUTSIDE OF EBAY!

  • Make sure you read the description before purchasing. The picture they put and the description might be completely different. In the picture it might show a complete item, but in the description it might just say "Box Only" Instead of paying 200 dollars for a pair of shoes, you just paid 200 dollars for a shoe box. Always check the description so you know what you are buying and getting exactly what you want.
