Proxies are essentially IP’s you use during drops to avoid pinging the site too much with your IP (local) and getting banned. They are crucial for drops because they usually provide faster speeds to the site you intend to bot, as well as allowing you to run more tasks
Residential proxies are generally slower than DC proxies but are much harder to get blocked. There are two types of resi proxies; static and rotating. Rotating residential proxies are useful for monitoring sites, as every time your bot sends a request to the site, it is given a new IP address, meaning it’s extremely unlikely to get blocked. Static residential proxies do not rotate, however this is useful when botting a site and not monitoring.
Datacenter proxies are commonly used for restocks now since anti-bot protection has become mainstream, it’s great for the speed it provides and of course its location based (more on that later). But if you have AIO proxies, I would recommend using this on SNKRS, Adidas, Footsites, and Shopify. Due to the fact that it’s not likely to be banned on any sites.
It is highly recommended to have more proxies that task
If you were to have 10 task, I would recommend at least 20 proxies
1:1 ratio is the bare minimum (1 proxy per task)
Most bots auto-rotate proxies, so if one proxy is banned, the bot will automatically put another proxy from your proxy pool to replace it
During drops site will ban any IP pinging the site too fast so this is where delays come in
Setting your delays will help manage your proxies and reduce the amount of proxies being banned or throttled
If you are starting your task before the drop, it is recommend to have a high delay such as 5000/5000 or higher and slowly lower it as it gets closer to the initial release time
Proxies should definitely be close to the servers you are using, for example if you purchase Ashburn/Virginia proxies you should definitely create a us-east4b server [Ashburn, Northern Virginia, USA]. The reason for this is that most sites (such as Shopify) are located in that area and the closer your proxies/server are, the faster you will be and the higher the chance of success
