Nike Release Methods
LEO - “Let Everyone Order”
Most of your low to mid-level resell sneakers get released this way, and sometimes the high-level stuff. These are the sneakers that are usually announced ahead of time to drop at a certain date/time (Saturday at 10 am for example) and often sell out fast. An LEO release gives everyone trying to purchase a 2-3 minute window to submit their entry, but it is not technically a first come first serve. When you try to checkout, you are sent to a pending screen and it is within this time that Nike uses an algorithm (conceptually an instant raffle) that will determine whether or not you “Got Em”.
DAN
Unlike LEO, a DAN release will give you anywhere from 10-30 minutes (lately 10) with a defined countdown to complete your entry. This is a true raffle. If you win, you will get an email, charge, and/or notification shortly after the entry period ends. The same principles above about keeping good accounts that are LEO tested apply for DAN as well. If the account is safe for LEO, it is safe for DAN. If the account doesn’t work with LEO, it’s likely not going to work with DAN either. DAN is a numbers game. If you’re using one mobile device to enter multiples, be sure to turn airplane mode on/off for a few seconds between each entry attempt so as to create a unique cellular connection.
FLOW
First come first served. Simply get to the product page and checkout first. The faster you are the better chance of purchasing. Unfortunately for the quick amongst us, FLOW is rarely used anymore especially for highly coveted items. Nonetheless, SNKRS affords plenty of opportunities to reward quickness in what are unique variations of FLOW.
